Project Abstract: ​

Through this project, the App-In Club San Diego Chapter aims to introduce programming, app development, and AI topics to local communities, especially those with limited access to educational resources in STEM if possible. Our goal is to empower students to brainstorm and create apps that benefit both the community and themselves. By providing customized courses and introductory workshops, students will explore the foundations of programming and app development through hands-on experiments and projects. Support and assistance will also be provided to those who wish to delve deeper into app development and those interested in participating in competitions such as hackathons. 
This project also focuses on providing app development services tailored to community needs. Our team is currently developing an app to facilitate the operation of a local Little Library system. 
We hope this project will inspire students’ interest in computer science and programming, providing valuable exposure to these fields. By using app development to positively impact communities, we hope to inspire students to see the potential of technology for social good.
