Project Abstract: 

As concerns about environmental sustainability grow, addressing electronic waste (e-waste) and promoting the recycling of batteries becomes increasingly important. Our project aims to raise awareness and educate communities about the environmental impact of batteries and importance of proper e-waste management and battery recycling. By organizing workshops, events, and conversations with local authorities, we aim to foster a community-wide effort towards sustainable practices.
Project Goals
1. Educate the Community: Increase awareness and knowledge about e-waste
and battery recycling among community members and children. Educate the
community about the environmental impact of improper battery disposal and
showcase our previous research on “The Environmental Impacts of Various
Types of Batteries and Disposal Methods”
2. Facilitate Recycling: Provide accessible options for the community to recycle e-
waste and batteries.
3. Collaborate with Authorities: Work with professional experts or city/county officers to understand and address local e-waste and battery recycling issues.
4. Share Findings: Present the outcomes of our initiatives at the API conference to
inspire broader action.
5. Sustain Long-term Efforts: Continue promoting sustainable practices through
ongoing involvement with local youth and environmental clubs.
