2025 API Internship Application
Three programs will be available in the summer of 2025, each designed to inspire civic engagement and cultivate future leaders. These programs provide students with opportunities to explore, develop, and showcase their passions and unique talents while also preserving and promoting the rich heritage and cultures of API communities.
High school (including rising high school students) and college students of API descent are strongly encouraged to apply. 2025 API Public Service Internship
The API Public Service Internship Program offers current and incoming college students a unique opportunity to gain firsthand experience in the operations of an elected office. Interns will work under the guidance of government officials, gaining valuable insights into public service and policymaking.
2025 API Journalism Internship
Current high school students will have the opportunity to investigate and report on local and national events while learning and practicing the core principles of journalism, including truthfulness, accuracy, objectivity, impartiality, and fairness. Guided by an experienced mentor, students will refine their writing skills, and their work will be published through various media outlets, including the San Diego Union-Tribune.
2025 ACA Action for Community Advancement
Current and rising high school students are encouraged to propose a project of interest and assemble a team to bring their idea to life. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop leadership and teamwork skills while making a positive impact on the community. Team members may also include middle school students.
