Alliance of Chinese Americans San Diego Raised Thousands for San Diego Food bank

At the end of 2020, Alliance of Chinese Americans San Diego (ACA), partnered with San Diego Food Bank launched a successful Virtual Food Drive. Over the one-week period, ACA raised total of $6,552.42. The total amount included ACA’s own matching fund of $2,500.00.
“2020 is a tough year, so many of us have been hit hard by pandemic both financially and emotionally. As a community, we want to show that we Chinese Americans care, and we want to give back to our San Diego Community and help our neighbors and Friends.” Said Gordan Huang, the Board Director of ACA, who is the ACA’s liaison for the Food Drive.
The majority donors are Chinese Americans. They are either the members of ACA or the friends/families of ACA.
ACA is a nonprofit (501c3) organization dedicated to serving the Chinese community of San Diego. ACA’s goal is to assist local Chinese Americans to realize their American dream by creating an inclusive, diverse, and harmonious society. ACA aims in prompting civic engagement, especially among the younger generations. Its mission is to educate, empower and engage the Chinese immigrants and help them become responsible and thriving citizens.
