Creating Community and Encouraging Leadership in Times of Crisis
A Project Funded by Alliance of Chinese Americans San Diego
Amy Wang
Background
BuzzOnline started teaching as soon as quarantine began. As an organization, Buzz online seeks to provide relevant and worthwhile educational services in this time of crisis. With more than 200 students already enrolled in our courses, which are designed to span different fields of study and teach students important leadership and communication skills, we’re already well on our way to our goals. Because of the current pandemic as well as the circumstances surrounding it, we hope to help students utilize their voices and learn to stay current and active within their communities, through the implementation of a course on communication in times of crisis.
