API Student Internship with Pac Arts
In partnership with Pacific Arts Movement, ACA is pleased to offer internship opportunities to API students. The interns will receive a a scholarship to work on internship projects provided by Pac Arts. The following information is largely adapted from Pac Arts.
Pacific Arts Movement (Pac Arts) is one of the largest media arts organizations in North America that focuses on Asian American and Asian international cinema.
Pacific Arts Movement presents Asian and Asian American Pacific Islander media arts to San Diego residents and visitors in order to inspire, entertain, and support a more compassionate society.
Community Outreach Intern Position

JOB DESCRIPTION
Be an ambassador of the Pacific Arts Movement mission to the greater community through communications, relationship building, and advocacy. Interns will build and maintain relationships with our community partners through online and in-person interactions. Interns will develop and implement strategies to engage with our stakeholders throughout the festival season and beyond.

- Support the management of our community contacts database
- Communicate and network with existing partners via online, phone, and in-person
- Research and foster relations with potential partners
- Utilize creative skills to build connections between our organization and the community
- Facilitate meetings and public-facing opportunities for our organization
- Promote our organization, events, and programs through street-team management
ELIGIBILITY
- Residents or students attending schools in San Diego County.
- Must be a descendant of Asian Pacific Island origin.
- High school or college students.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Desire to write and communicate with a community-driven purpose
- Strong networking skills via online, phone, and in-person communications
- Attention to detail and highly organized
- Proficiency with online database and document management (Google Docs, Airtable)
- Knowledge of or interest in Asian and Asian American media arts
- Knowledge of or interest in San Diego community building and philanthropy
- Reliable transportation to our Point Loma office
- Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Able to communicate with new people to discover common ground and foster community
